Casino Royale was so great and QoS, being a direct sequel, would work great as a shorter, more brisk continuation of CR. Skyfall seems to take place many years after the end of QoS and contrasts the theme of Bond being a new 007 agent in the first two films. I want the 'standalone' Skyfall to tie into the the previous film's narrative so that the trilogy maintains continuity.
